Weekly Blog Post 13

For this blog post we did in class sketch notes of things that stood out to us during this semester in EDCI 336. Below I’ve attached a picture of my sketch-note as well as a little bit of info as to why I chose to draw this specifically.

  1. EdCamps: I chose to draw an apple because we all know teachers love apples haha! I really enjoyed the EdCamp session and found it very useful for new and old teachers alike where they can share their knowledge and expertise.
  2. Kahoot: I decided to draw the logo because it was my group’s presentation topic and it was so much fun to make!
  3. Vlogs: I drew a camera that somewhat represents the camera that I used for my weekly vlogs. I really enjoyed stepping out of my comfort zone and making the vlogs.
  4. Digital storytelling: I tried my best to draw a book and make it represent storytelling. I found that class to have so much useful content and I really enjoyed it.
  5. Code skating: I feel like this was the most fun class this semester! Even though I’ve never touched a code in my life, I felt as though coding through games (like flappy bird and Anna and Elsa) made the experience enjoyable and not as challenging.
  6. Infographics: I’ve done infographics in the past so this class wasn’t very hard as Ive also had lots of uses with Canva before, but I did learn some new tricks on changing the colour and adding in icons.
  7. Closed captions: I chose to do a CC sign that best represents inclusivity. I really liked the class where we got to look at our blog posts and make it more accessible and I have since added in CC to my weekly vlogs to make it more inclusive!
  8. 3D Heart Print: This was my first time using a 3D printer and modelling something and it was so cool! I found it to be really user friendly and easy to do and I love how my heart box turned out.
  9. Weekly blog posts: I think that by doing these blog posts I held myself accountable for my learning, and contributed more into the class. I also loved designing my website!
  10. Gen AI: I drew a robot that represents AI because I actually had no clue on how to draw Gen AI. But I found so many helpful tips and tools through this class and learnt about the advantages of integrating some AI tools into the classroom.
